Soy
on Parade: Beans are Works of Art
Large soybeans were perched at various locations inside the
rotunda at the Capitol in Des Moines on Tuesday, March 20,
for Soy Day on the Hill. But these weren’t just any

of the many benefits of soy. Standing approximately 4 feet
tall and covered in a variety of vivid colors, each soybean
sculpture told a story.

with a big mission. The current and impending transportation
challenges in this country resulted in the decision to launch
the Soy Transportation Coalition. It is a new initiative that
will develop a course of action to improve the transportation
climate in the United States on behalf of the soybean industry.
